Nourishing Minds and Bodies

Good nutrition supports concentration, energy and wellbeing throughout the school day. In line with the health-promotion guidance of the Ministry of Public Health, Brighton International Academy encourages healthy eating habits and asks families to support these at home.

Guidance for Families

Healthy Lunchbox Guidelines

Balanced meals

Include fruit or vegetables, a source of protein and wholegrain foods where possible.

Water first

Send a reusable bottle of water each day; limit sugary and fizzy drinks.

Limit sweets

Keep sweets, crisps and high-sugar snacks for occasional treats rather than daily food.

Allergy awareness

Inform the school nurse of any food allergy or intolerance, and respect any allergy guidance issued for your child’s class.
