Welcome to the Primary School
The Primary years at Brighton International Academy build confident, capable and principled learners. Students follow the Cambridge International Primary Programme, developing secure knowledge and skills in English, Mathematics and Science, while Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and Qatar History strengthen their linguistic, spiritual and national identity.
We believe that children learn best when parents and teachers work together. Regular communication, parent meetings and termly reports keep families informed and involved in their children’s progress.
Cambridge Primary
The Cambridge International Primary Programme
Developed by Cambridge International for learners aged 5 to 11, the Cambridge Primary Programme sets out clear learning objectives for each year of primary education in English, Mathematics and Science. This framework gives teachers a coherent, internationally benchmarked structure for planning and ensures continuity as students progress from one year to the next.
Cambridge Progression Tests enable teachers to evaluate students’ achievement at the end of each year, and to analyse strengths and areas for development so that subsequent teaching is precisely targeted.
In addition, and in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, students study Arabic Language, Qatar History and Islamic Studies. These subjects are compulsory for Arab nationals under Ministry regulations.
