Leaving & Transfer Policy

Purpose

Leaving the Academy

This policy sets out the procedure to be followed when a student leaves Brighton International Academy, whether at the end of Year 6 or during their course of study. Its purpose is to ensure an orderly transition and the timely provision of the documents required by the student’s next school.

Procedure

Steps for Withdrawal

Parents should inform the Registrar in writing of their intention to withdraw their child, stating the expected last day of attendance. Notice should be given as early as possible and within the period specified in the enrolment terms.

All outstanding fees must be settled with the Accounting Department. Any refund is determined in accordance with the Academy’s fee terms and applicable Ministry regulations.

Library books, textbooks on loan and any other school property should be returned before the final day of attendance.

On completion of clearance, the Academy issues the student’s transfer documentation, academic reports and fee clearance, together with any certificates required under Ministry transfer procedures.
